Description SON MOIX STADIUM ROOF
This project is part of the first phase of the renovation works of the Visit Mallorca Estadi, in which the remodeling and construction of the new sun stand has been carried out, which incorporates a 6,000m2 roof to provide shelter for 6,500 spectators, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the pitch.
The supply and installation of the textile covering for the canopy over the east stand of the stadium has been carried out.
The canopy has overall dimensions of 48m x 190m and is made up of 14 trusses 34m long that form 13 spans with 6 arches each. This metallic structure forms the base for the textile roof made up of 43 units of tensioned and independent membranes of different dimensions, distributed in 13 membranes over arches, 28 membranes under trusses, and 2 lateral membranes.
Technical Base
The textile roof is made of polyester fabric coated with PVC on both sides (Atlas art. 760 type IV - TFL, Sattler brand) and consists of 43 independent tensioned membrane units of different dimensions, distributed in 13 membranes over arches, 28 membranes under trusses and 2 lateral membranes.
The total membrane area is approx. 6,252 m2, with a projected area of 5,910 m2.
Each membrane is made in one single piece and is fixed to the metal substructure around its perimeter by means of a frame made of aluminum profile lacquered in white RAL 9010 and stainless steel metal strips.
In the case of the large tarpaulins between trusses, the membrane is also fixed to the arches by means of an aluminum profile lacquered in white RAL 9010. These, in turn, are reinforced by galvanized steel cables, anchored at the ends of the metal structure.
